Japanese Hiragana is typing a different character. For example, when typing ho, this comes up:

    くら

instead of:

     ほ

Solution:

Make sure your input method is set to Romaji input.

To change the input, right-click on IME options -> Properties -> Advanced -> Input method -> Romaji input.

Can't switch to Hiragana on Japanese Microsoft IME, and it stays as Half-width Alphanumeric.

Make sure you got the correct dictionary file located at C:\Windows\IME\IMEJP\DICTS\

The DIC files that you need are imjptk.dic, IMJPZP.DIC and SDDS0411.DIC.

To do an inplace upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Professional edition, go to Settings -> System -> About then click the link Change product key or upgrade your edition of Windows.

Then click on Go to Store link.

Below is a screenshot from a Windows 10 Home laptop, price shows is $149, I am assuming it includes GST.

You can buy a retail version to use for inplace upgrade of Windows 10 Home to Professional. Unless, you buy a Windows 10 Professional OEM licence which is like $249.

Doing an inplace upgrade will save you around $100.

I got an error Task image is corrupt or has been tampered with 0x80041321 when saving a Windows Backup task on Windows 7.

This happened after a revert to Windows 7 after it got updated to Windows 10. Solution that worked for me, may not work for you though was:

1. Backup everything and delete all files inside C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsBackup.

2. Go to registry and export the keys inside to back it up HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\Tree\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsBackup then delete all keys such as:

• AutomaticBackup
• Windows Backup Monitor

3. Then create your Windows Backup again.
